This spacious camp has a ribbon of sites along the seashore and is well endowed with trees. It is 7km south of Kaikoura with a shop and public phone on-site. The amenities are in 3 blocks, all in good order including ablutions, 2 kitchens and laundry. There are two fish filleting areas and a gas BBQ where you can cook your ‘catch of the day’ in an outside covered dining area. This is an ideal base for diving, fishing, whale, seal and coastal bird watching. In February and March you can see the dolphins playing in the bay from this camp. A family orientated camp with a play area leading to a flying fox close to the beach. Near the entrance is a mini golf course. There are over 100 power sites and twice as many for tents. A beachfront area has 29 power points, all hard stands, picnic tables and also tent sites. Internet access available and a dump point No dogs between December 22nd and January 10th please.
